Re: Makergear New Parts

You guys should move to Canada where the ER visits are free. Higher taxes though.

Re: computer crashes

Try saving the gcode to an SD card, eject the card, plug it into the SD card reader on the M2 and then use the 'Print from SD card' option in Simplify3D. That method is much more reliable.

Added percentage done to M27 SD card status

My older M2 has a Viki 1 LCD display and I like that I can glance over and see percentage done when printing from SD. Re: Fixing up a used M2

I thought I had read about the white lithium somewhere so I found the docs that came with my first M2 printer and there is a section about lubrication. That was about 3 years ago.

Re: Fixing up a used M2

Thanks for checking about the oil. The white lithium seems to gunk up a bit.

I did a longer print today and the M2 is working great.

Re: Fixing up a used M2

I think it's 2-in-1 for the round rods on the Z-Axis and greasing the X and Y linear rails and Z threaded rod with white lithium?

Fixing up a used M2

I lucked out and bought a used M2 for $200 Canadian ($140 US). The previous owner wasn't skilled mechanically or with firmware and managed to destroy the entire extruder system. I originally thought that the Rambo board was destroyed but it turned out that all of the fuses were blown. I ordered the ...

Re: Layer Isues

This is off topic but I notice that you have a metal stepper motor mount on your extruder. Do the new M2's come with that?
