Yep. "Subscribe" is ambiguous. "Rent", with annual improvements is more like it.

Re: Fusion 360 special offer - January 24 & 25
When I first tried Fusion 360, 3-4 years ago, it looked to me like a shallow, artsy way of making organic models with a klunky interface. No longer true. Autodesk is pulling in features from Inventor, AutoCAD, and others, and with an improved interface. This offer strikes me as a very rare opportuni...

It's now free for students, educators and "Enthusiasts" ... those who do not profit from their use of the software.

Re: extreme frustration >:( #rant
Your experience with Fusion360 parallels mine. I learned that Autodesk has excellent, free, tutorials. Also, I was looking for solutions that were more complex than those available. I suggest Investing time with the tutorials ... I predict that you'll find Fusion360 to be very powerful & user-friend...

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested
"What's Next" from MakerGear would help with decisions on whether to wait for MG's next printer (or 3D Scanner?), and the accompanying quality, performance, and support, ... or, to begin shopping.

Re: Favorite Print Surface?
This fits with my experience with hairspray and ABS.
I scarify the hairspray surface after each print, then hit it with one or two coats of spray. This is the best of everything I've tried in my 5 years of printing. I use a fine but fairly rigid brush that's purchased as part of a 3-pack.
