My extruder failed as well. Made this strange eeking noise. Turns out one of the windings went bad, so the motor was cogging instead of turning.
You should see ~2.6 Ohms, but wiggle the wires while measuring the windings.

I have printed NinjaFlex on a v3b as well...but with a self-designed 3mm extruder.
I just got a roll of Semiflex in, so I will try it this week.

PLA is resistant to acetone (but not acid). I regularly swap between the ceramic heater and the v2b hotends. 185C on the ceramic is about 210C on the v3b due to the temperature gradient (acking previous post!)
