Re: Getting PVA to stick to PLA

Finally started messing with BVOH this morning, and I'm getting very frustrated with this printer. I can't get ANY soluble support to work properly. My issues with PVA are outlined above. For BVOH, I'm having similar issues. Problems with dialing in the temp...too cold, it doesn't extrude properly. ...

Re: Getting PVA to stick to PLA

I printed BVOH at 218 degrees Celsuis. Ambient temp wasn't anything unusual. I printed slowly (2100mm/min I believe) and also put the BVOH in my dehydrator (120 degrees C for 2-3 hours first). I preferred to use 100% BVOH for supports (instead of 10-15 dense layers on top of PLA towers which saves ...

PVA was a headache for me also. It just wouldn't consistently do what I wanted. BVOH has been much better for me but seems hard to get now. Out of stock on Makergear site and amazon.
What settings did you use for BVOH? The default MG settings in S3D? Thanks.

Re: Getting PVA to stick to PLA

Hi all, I'm trying to work with PVA, but so far it has been a disaster. I can print with PVA as a main material and get even some decent prints with it. I can even get it to stick to the plate 100% of the times. But I can't get it to stick to the PLA. Im using the basic settings from makergear and ...

Re: Newbie, "hi," etc.

If the build surface is deep I would call support but it will get scratched and scraped and eventually rip and lift. You will get good at water sliding the tape on the bed.. :-) There is a thread in the forum someplace that shows how to make a jig to assist with applying the tape to the bed, works ...

Re: Newbie, "hi," etc.

Unboxed last night, setup was a breeze (the film on the build plate was scratched, but I don't know if that will be an issue?), printed the dual keychain, came out about as nice as can be expected with zero dialing in. Starting on bigger stuff tonight. Happy so far!

I upgraded my m2 to the noctua fans also and its a great upgrade. Additionally, I put these on the noctuas for EXTREME noise reduction.

Tips for printing Gyro the Dodo on M3-ID?

I want to print this . Looks like everyone there that commented substantively was using an Ultimaker 3, but I don't see why the M3-ID can't do it too. They recommend these settings: Materials and methods Printed on an Ultimaker 3: Model dimensions: 96.0 x 97.5 x 86.8 mm Print time: 03d 01h 07m Amoun...

Re: MakerGear M3 Independent Dual Extruder 3D Printer Rev 1

I am looking to add a dual extruder printer to my farm I was thinking of Ultimaker 3/S5, raise 3d pro 2 or Taz pro but I found the MakerGear M3 Independent Dual Extruder 3D Printer - Rev 1 to be honest never heard if it and reviews are few and far between so I figured I would see what the users wil...
