Just to update, I have fitted a new nozzle and seems all to be fine now - must have been a partial block.
Titan is a nice bit of kit - very easy to work with and seems to work great now that my nozzle is no longer clogged

Re: best add on control panel
I just installed Pi 3 with octoprint and I have to say it's a pretty neat bit of kit. Need to pick up a webcam to make the most of it too I think.... If you are on Mac, this video may be of use to you (it's a pi2 but it's the same process except you don't need a wifi dongle). https://youtu.be/MwsxO3...

Re: I added an E3D Titan to my M2 and you can too!
I just received a Titan, was having extrusion issues and decided it was a good excuse to upgrade since the extruder mount was getting a little wobbly anyway. Like you I found the recommended settings to over extrude somewhat. I found 408 steps per mm to give me a pretty perfect 100mm extrusion when ...

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested
Selfishly, I think the upgrade side of things could do with being more obvious and better populated.
As an owner from early 2013 my old M2 has already had a few upgrades along the way but I do feel like it's very hard to find what upgrades are available on the current site for existing owners.

Re: v4 Status
Any updates on expected availability and some more details?
I saw Rick said it should be available in November, which has now been and gone! Are we still looking at a release this year or is it likely to slip into early 2015?

Re: Phantom Y zero-ing
thanks guys,
I'll give that a go. Only started happening since i upgraded to 24v, given that the steppers will now be operating at a higher voltage it is conceivable that interference that wasn't a problem before is now.

Phantom Y zero-ing
I'm having a bit of an issue with my Y-axis when homing... it'll keep homing to positions well short of the actual zero, which is ending up with prints starting well off centre and going off the back of the bed if i'm not watching. I checked that the switch functions, and it does. I also check it wa...

Re: Poor finish above support material
I think the problem is that the better the surface finish, the lower the layer separation and huger the density, which means it's harder to clean up afterwards. The only way as far as I can see to get the really nice smooth finish would be to use dissolvable support material with no layer separation...

Re: Need help with Curtis's Firmware that supports VIKI
The plot thickens... Initially I had tried uploading makergears own 24v vikki firmware several times, same problem persisted. I then tried to upload the old 12/19v firmware, and got a compilation error related to the liquidTW12 library. I deleted the library and then the old firmware compiled and up...
