Re: Filament Diameter - Does it have to be 1.75mm

Nozzle has nothing to do with it, the 2.85mm filament isn't going to even fit inside the v4 opening on the top, nor will it fit though the filament drive. Good point, you would also need a new filament drive and hotend. Guess I did muddy the waters after all. So in response to the OP...the sh...

Re: Filament Diameter - Does it have to be 1.75mm

Not to muddy the waters, but

You can't use it on the M2, ASSUMING you have the stock 0.35 mm nozzle.

If you have been printing with standard 1.75 mm filament, then yes you will not be able to use the 2.85 mm filament without modifying your M2.

Re: Can't get print to start on my LCD screen

Hi Jboarder, Welcome to the forum! It seems that not many people are using the LCD screen upgrade. My LCD with the Rev E printer is pretty slow, but it sounds like yours is actually freezing. The way it should work is: 1. Select Print from SD 2. Select the file you want. It will return to the home s...

Re: LCD Viki 2.0 vs Makergear LCD

Yes you can once the print has started... ie after the purge just not until then Interesting - sounds like yours must work differently than mine. Thanks, I will check out the link, however I am no a firmware/gcode guru. Its not a fast and reliable to do with flexible filaments which is 99% of what ...

Re: LCD Viki 2.0 vs Makergear LCD

LCD is often slow and at times i have to turn the knob to half way between indents to select what I need to! Cant even count the number of times ive started the wrong print and then have to wait for it to actually start printing to stop it before restarting again... Pretty sure you can pause/stop i...

Re: LCD Panel Will Not Go To Main Screen

Yeah, it seems like once it's printing it slows down quite a bit.

Re: LCD Panel Will Not Go To Main Screen

I'm late to this discussion, but glad the issue seems to have went away. My experience with the LCD for the M2 Rev E is that it is fairly laggy (especially if you try to do things during a print) but from the sounds of it you were having some bigger issue than that. It surprises me how little info i...

Hi Jebb,

I don't have the Viki2 but have you seen/tried this page? http://makergear.wikidot.com/m2-lcd-panel#toc3

Re: LCD Viki 2.0 vs Makergear LCD

Agree. Since I wrote the above post I've been paying more attention to it and it is definitely slow. It's weird because I have a newer Rev E machine and an older machine (both with the MakerGear LCD upgrade) and the newer one is definitely more laggy than the old one.

Re: LCD Viki 2.0 vs Makergear LCD

Are you satisfied with the way the Makergear LCD works? I'm finding it rather difficult to use. It seems very "doggy" or slow to respond. I also have a Rostock Max V2 and the LCD interface on that is very responsive. This one seems to miss half the button presses. When I tried to use it to manually...
