Re: Latest project - Summer

Most of the pieces did not need support to print. The few that did, like the pony tails, just used regular support, single print head. The model is very well thought out in the way it was split into pieces.

Latest project - Summer

This is Summer from MyMiniFactory. It is a great model with nice detail. It has been split into easily printed pieces with pins to hold them together. Printed on a MakerGear M3ID with white PLA and painted with acrylics.

Roman Bireme Warship

This is the Roman Bireme I just finished. It was printed on my M3-ID in PLA. The .stl files are available from MyMiniFactory. This was an extensive build. About a week to print all the pieces and another 3 weeks to paint it. I had to make my own oars. The oars that came with the original files had s...

Nicely done! How large is the print?
The T-Rex stands about 6" high and 11" nose to tail.

Re: Z table drops

Okay, if M84 S0 sets the timeout to 0 and disables it, does M84 S60 set it to 60 seconds/60 minutes ?

Z table drops

Apparently there is some sort of timeout for the z height. When I have adjusted the table to do a table level or adjust nozzles, after a certain time the table drops down to the ground position, usually before I'm done. Is there any way to disable this or change the timeout time?

Re: Z motor problems HELP

I went in a cleaned and oiled everything, lithium grease on the z-screw. Had a minor heart attack when none of the motors worked, until discovered that the main power connector in back had come a little lose when I turned the printer to work on it. Everything seems to be working again. I am trying a...

Z motor problems HELP

I just went to use my MakerGear M2 Dual again after it messed up a print last night. It started to raise the build table, made a terrible screaming grinding noise and went back down to the bottom. It sounds like the motor and/or drive gear is stripped. Has anyone else had this problem or has insight...
