My experience with V4 Jamming

Hello all: Just wanted to share my recent experience when it came time to upgrade my V3B to a V4 (single) Extruder. The conversion went well and the printer worked great for about 4 hours, or the length of 4 part runs. Then I was plagued with jamming, at no particular time or level of print. After t...

Cracked Motor Mount

Hello everyone. I thought I'd share a problem I encountered while upgrading to the V4 Hot-end. I was in the assembly process when I noticed several cracks in the printed motor mount. 20160508_110617.jpg 20160508_105605.jpg 20160508_105550.jpg 20160508_105531.jpg I'll be ordering the Metal Motor Moun...

Re: Another (semi) successful Bridging calibration

Well, so what were your good settings? I did a bunch of searching and reading some time ago, and the suggestions were all over the place. Bridge fast; no, bridge slow. For myself, I've found that bridging slowly (20mm/s or so) and at 90% extrusion works well enough for longish spans, with a lot of ...

Another (semi) successful Bridging calibration

I've been fighting with (those pesky) Bridging issues for quite some time and decided (yesterday) to resolve those issues. I have several projects pending where Bridging will be necessary. I could use support, and will when absolutely necessary, but I'd rather let the printer do the work whenever po...

Re: Enabling more Fan Speed Control

Thanks jsc. I'll try the first suggestion. The second is "above my pay grade" and better left to someone who won't set the house on fire

Re: Enabling more Fan Speed Control

Thanks jsc, Matt.

There was a post that referenced files on Github, and the (old) Makergear forum which detailed the process of altering the Marlin firmware, not only for fan control but for the addition of the "Viki" control. I'll keep looking.

Thanks

Enabling more Fan Speed Control

Hi: Had my M2 for about a year and it's still prints great. I've had some issues which I've been able to work through, especially with the help of other forum members. So here's my latest quest ... I would like to get more control of the speed of the 50mm fan. At the moment I have three options, 100...

Re: A Bed Spring

Thanks Vprints,

To be honest, I've never attached mine as the machine is very stable and the spring has not moved.
