Re: Extruder/Filament alignment
It's a V3B assembly. It seems to have some room to slide around, I just have no way of knowing how to adjust to get the filament to actually feed through. I tried cutting the filament at an angle to make as small an entry point as possible, but I'm still just randomly twisting the hot end with my pl...

Extruder/Filament alignment
I recently replaced my hotend, and now I can't seem to get the filament to align with it to go through. I brought the hotend up to temperature, extrude 100mm in Simplify 3d, and tried wiggling/adjusting the alignment of the hotend with some pliers to hopefully get the right position, but nothing see...

Edges peel up
I've been printing a lot of pieces meant to snap together, and they tend to have a large, flat base with holes or pegs that snap together. Lately, I've been having an issue where the edges of these large, flat pieces will curl up. So, if I had a square that was 3mm thick, and maybe 100mm X 100 mm, b...

Re: Communication, but no motion from stepper motors
On closer inspection, I see that the wire just came loise again. Ordered a flux pen and will solder it again. Odd that it failed in a different way than before.

Communication, but no motion from stepper motors
I've been having problems with a loose wire on my printer bed. Normally, when it comes loose, the bed temperature display in Simplify3d displays "0" and the bed stops heating. Today, I soldered the wire again and everything seemed ok-- the nozzle and bed heated up to the correct temperature, and I t...

v4 vs v3b extruder
I clogged my v3b extruder, as I do from time to time, and wanted to buy a new one. I saw v4 as an option, and, assuming it was just "better" bought a v4 and a v3b replacement. Both arrived, and I cannot tell one from another. I literally just assumed that the new verison must offer some advantage. N...

Re: Spastic hotend temps
Ok, this may be a stupid question, but.. Is the thermistor part of the hotend? Are you talking about buying a new hotend, part of the hotend, or some other part? I have to agree that MakerGear support, and the community, are awesome. I print quite a lot and my printer has been pretty solid, but it's...

Re: Spastic hotend temps
This is weird.. I just came to the forum now because I'm having this exact problem. I was printing things pretty frequently without problems until today, when I observed the same wildly fluctuating temperature readings. It first happened when one print didn't stick to the build plate, and I tried to...

Re: Buying printed parts
Could someone please post a link to the part on Thingiverse, so I can see what you're referring to?
I cracked my part because I noticed that the extruder seemed to have a little "give" and rotate in the mount and I overtightened the screws. I'm curious what the new version of the part looks like.
