Re: New High-Temp Filament - Build Adhesion Issues!!
I'm digging the video clips of the nitro. FR4 seems to be doing a good job. All the initial routes were dead ends, but this seems to be working pretty good. I have some tape coming that's made out of the same polymer as the filament - this should really do the trick - fingers crossed. Thanks for all...

Re: New High-Temp Filament - Build Adhesion Issues!!
Making some progress today. Big improvement - very clean glass + LOTS of Aquanet. I remember the 80's and Aquanet, but never figured I'd be using it on for this! Best so far - FR4, lightly sanded, nozzle VERY close to board so the extruded plastic gets into the holes… So far this one is pretty good....

Re: New High-Temp Filament - Build Adhesion Issues!!
Isn't nitrocellulose explosive?!
Will try some of the lower tech / less dangerous (and less likely to have the ATF call me) routes.
Thx!

Re: New High-Temp Filament - Build Adhesion Issues!!
Not PEEK or PTFE - but I like the guessing! There's no PTFE, silicone, or other process aids that would inhibit sticking. It just doesn't like to stick to what we've tried so far. We contacted our polyimide tape supplier and they made some high temp tape using the same base resin as in this filament...

PLA to PEEK - M2s can hang
Matt from 3DXTech here. We have two M2's - one with the v4 hot-end and the other modified with the E3D v6 all-metal hot-end. Both are excellent machines and can handle basically anything we've thrown at them (like the subject line said - PLA to PEEK). The v4 is very nice and prints pretty much anyth...

Re: Choosing a new hot end
We have two M2's - one modified with the E3D v6 and prints steady at 400c and the other with the MG v4 and it prints steady at 300c (we regularly print some strange materials…) Both extruders are very nice, but the MG v4 is an obvious choice due to the simplicity of the set-up - as long as you don't...

Re: New High-Temp Filament - Build Adhesion Issues!!
Thanks! Thought about that, but this plastic doesn't dissolve very well in anything that doesn't grow extra legs / fingers… One of the reasons we're pretty excited about it, but we need to get it to stick first!

Re: Good Adhesion/Easy Print Removal from Kapton taped bed
This is Matt from 3DXTech - thanks for the props on the 4mil - we love printing on it as well! We sell 1mil, 2mil, and 4mil - but we only use the 4mil since it's so easy to work with and resilient to damage. Seems a little self-serving, but the stuff is great. Regarding the PLA - we use hairspray or...

New High-Temp Filament - Build Adhesion Issues!!
Hi. We have a new filament that prints great, but doesn't want to adhere to the build surface. Here's the basics without giving away too much detail on the new filament Filament Print temp: 300-320c (we modified an M2 with an E3D v6 - works great up to 400c) Heated Bed temp: 100-120c (range is fine ...

Tutor needed, will pay!
I have an almost-new M2 (new for me, traded for it) and I'm having tons of trouble getting it to print. I have two other printers, but I'm an M2 newbie. Read all the blogs / posts here and what I really need is some one-on-one assistance. I have a $100 gift card to 3dxtech.com and will gladly offer ...
