Re: Testers Needed
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Simplfy3D need to be told that Z is now homes to max? for the machine?
I did that in the preferences (Mac OS) but it doesn't stay from session to session. Did anyone else see that?

Re: Testers Needed
A design comment.... I don't like the idea of the Z stage resting on the limit switch when the printer is not in use. Long term I believe you'll damage the limit switch. My printer has a rubber grommet on the z screw which has been a landing pad for the stage. In installing this new switch, I've pos...

Re: Testers Needed
Just a note, I did not have to make any cuts to my heater. It already sits well inside the plate so that the leveling screws do not contact it.

Re: Request for Marlin/Arduino Expertise
One question Josh, when you turn on compiler warnings and compare the two compiles, any difference?

Re: M2 Auto-Leveling Kit (Beta)
Is there any reason you couldn't just remove the glass and print (with say a piece of kapton) on the M2 anodized metal plate (edit: heater spreader) that the heater is mounted to? edit: Or is that just not very flat?

Re: Best Fit - 3D Modeling Software
I'm an avid user of Moment Of Inspiration (moi3d). It's actually been a released Mac product for sometime now and in fact he released a new version lately. It's also script able with JavaScript and there's many useful addons. I agree with jimc, I just found that tinkercad and 123d just did not click...

Re: Shift in print (Y direction)
In follow up to my post, I did a number of things such as reflash firmware so can't definitely point to a cause, however I re-ran the same gcode file with repetier directly connected instead of octoprint on pi and it printed fine. We'll see if this remains the case.

Shift in print (Y direction)
I've been seeing all of a sudden a shift in Y direction. The attached shows how this rectangular piece has decided to be a stair step. This shift happened in this case at about layer 27-28. The Gcode preview fine. When this happened before I tried resetting the Y belt and tightening the pulley on th...

Re: Taulman Bridge Filament
My experience with Bridge is similar including the part with the rsilvers drive body. It doesn't work with bridge or flex so stick with the standard drive. I used Elmer's washable glue stick on glass and it stuck very well and removal was easy. In fact I pretty much use that with everything now (Pla...
