Re: E3D Dual Extruders OR???
You can necro a thread, as long as you're adding something useful and not just "thanks!" ;) Cool thats what i wanted to know. I've seen a few things in the subpost i guess its called that are older post but really good information but some of it is personalized and would be interesting to know for ...

Re: E3D Dual Extruders OR???
Not to discourage you at all, but be aware that dual extruder printing comes with a whole extra set of headaches above and beyond regular 3D printing. You will want to be comfortable with editing gcode, and maybe have to learn a different slicer. Check out the v4 dual thread.[/quote] Thanks for the ...

Re: E3D Dual Extruders OR???
im sure someone that has dont it will chime in here but makergear is usually pretty thorough and complete. i doubt you would need anything additional. if its a kit i can bet it will have everything included down to the washers for the screws. jimc the way the kit was when i got it with extra nuts, ...

Re: E3D Dual Extruders OR???
Bowden is inferior in just about every way on a moving-bed printer. On a gantry like the Ultimakers it's fine, because X and Y have the same mass, but it doesn't get you anything on the moving-beds because regardless of how lightweight X gets you still have the mass of Y "holding back" the accelera...

Re: E3D Dual Extruders OR???
If you have a newer machine with the single power brick, the dual v4 upgrade straight from MG is the way to go. It's a very straightforward installation. Older machines it's a little more up in the air because there is a whole bunch of retrofitting elsewhere. Hey insta, This is a a new machine that...

E3D Dual Extruders OR???
Hey guys! I'm wanting to upgrade to a dual extruder setup. I have heard such great thinks along with a few bad things here and there about the E3Dv6 and I know E3D also make's the Chimera and really have been looking at it also. Now other than Thingiverse http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:280766 I do...

Re: PLA layers separating??
I just run all my printers in the basement and don't use stinky plastic :) I would do just that but half my basement is garage and the other half basement. My garage is filled with metal working machines ( to many of them lol) so that makes a lot of metal dust and dirt. Now in the basement side I h...

Re: PLA layers separating??
Burn a small segment of that filament. If it's a small blue flame, its PLA. If it's a smoky orange flame, it's ABS. Also, PLA will smell kind of sweet, ABS will smell like a car fire. I bet that's ABS... insta I am using MakerGear filament.. When I buy something like this (a machine) I kinda go ove...
