Re: A Good All Around 3D Scanner
I've had my SLS-2 for a bit now. It's definitely an art, fairly tedious, a little cumbersome, and a lot of it boils down to what you want to (and can) do with the STL/OBJ output. Re: Smoothie M2
Great job. I'm glad I wasn't going nuts over here yet lol. Yea I'm not sure why they would keep all the code the same but have changed some of the simplest codes that are used a good bit but at least you worked it out and it makes sense now..

Otherwise, how is the extruder hookup to Q5 declared in the config file? Yea I checked to be sure that my power supply is plugged in nice and tight and tested aroun...

Re: Smoothie M2
No, I was a bit concerned about the limitations of those jumpers, because it's mentioned in the instructions that the jumpers themselves have a much lower current rating (about 2 Amps) than either the power MOSFETs or the terminal connectors. JP28 connects two of the three small MOSFETs, and used t...

Re: Smoothie M2
With all the jerking, yanking, snatching, shaking, popping, tugging, snapping, and crackling going on, it's no wonder that you've got ripples in your prints. That's very true! Very good job with this heart transplant! You did a great job explaining everything and on the box to hold it all toge...

Re: Smoothieboard
For the smart LCD, I will have to do some more research. (another edit) You can get the "Full Graphic Smart LCD Controller" from http://www.reprapdiscount.com/best-sales ($69.00, and marked "Available"). This board is listed under "Supported Panels" on http://smoothieware.org/panel/. However, if you...

Here's an earlier thread on XTC-3D: http://forum.makergear.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1713 And a thread on a test I did: http://forum.makergear.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1992 It's situationally useful. Self-leveling is pretty good, although you have to be a little careful about blobs and drips. Makes th...
