larger Nozzle diameter to prevent clogs?

Not that I dont love Makergear ABS, its fantastic, but its also really expensive. i've tried eSun Black ABS, and also Hatchback, (both of which highly regarded and much cheaper) and get clogs in 50% of my builds. (running v3b hotend at 250). Would going from a .35 stock nozzle to something a little ...

Re: Love ABS but keep breaking parts or glass when cooled

I like to use Purple Elmers glue stick when printing ABS, it holds great and the parts release all by themselves once the bed cools. -Steve I seem to remember trying this, and also hairspray and while back and while it worked really well for PLA, ABS never seemed to stick to it. Maybe i give it ano...

Re: Love ABS but keep breaking parts or glass when cooled

are you waiting for the glass to cool before trying to remove the print? Yep - In fact tonight I had two parts which separated themselves and took huge chunks of glass along with them. They ruined the plate completely. It set probably 2 hours and was easily room temperature by the time it fractured...

Re: Love ABS but keep breaking parts or glass when cooled

I question the 150 for ABS, are you sure its not 250? The second day I had my M2 I installed a PEI material on the bed. All it needs is the correct temperature printing and then cooling, comes off with just a little use of this > http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001V9LWJM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=...

Love ABS but keep breaking parts or glass when cooled

Gaaaah, ABS Juice on Glass keeps doing this to me' probably 1 out of 3 prints. Sometimes when it breaks free it actually tears a chuck out of my glass, which makes me even more aggrivated!. Aside from ABS juice (acetone and filament) directly on glass; is there another setup you guys have had good l...

Re: eSun ABS clogging...

Thanks for the Tip, I managed to back out the clog, and then measure the portion of Filament below the ground-section where the gear carved its pocket. The Clean areas of the Filament (off the spool) averages around 0.176-0.176 The crushed (now slightly elliptical) area from the drive deforming the ...

eSun ABS clogging...

Hey guys, Bought some eSun ABS and first print went down beautifully. But since then, ive been getting clogs. Ive always switch filaments using the M302 commant and heating to 100C (which I think gets almost all of the plastic out of the nozzle). Ive got an inline filter, which doesnt seem to stop t...

Re: How to use "processes" in S3D

ok so wait... when you open your factory file, do you just have 1 process present? How then do you select the material preset youl be using (be it ABS, PLA, PETG, etc). Sorry, Im still not clear on the best practices when it comes to your own material presets; Ive been making a single preset for eac...
