A helping note about alcohol wiping: The stuff (wax, oils) you are trying to remove is invisible, so you can't tell if it's clean. To deal with this, get 4 unused paper towels, and put alcohol on one and wipe the bed, then repeat with the remaining towels. They will all look "clean", but the last on...

More retraction, faster non-printing travel, and lower nozzle temps are the main things to reduce stringing.

I just hold the torch to the nozzle (removed and held with needle nose pliers) until the PETG catches fire, then it drips a bit and burns itself completely out in a minute.

I print PETG down to 220C. Just need to keep the volumetric extrusion down below 3 or so.

I have a steel i3 Prusa, and it's Wades extruder was blue PLA. I originally wanted the M2 but something was missing that I wanted.

PETG sticks to PETG, perhaps a PETG extruder isn't the best for PETG? I think that PETG is very slippery on itself, like nylon. My extruder came in PLA, and I'll probably re-print in PETG (black).
