Re: Extruder distance from glass issues ...
Hi Jules, Thanks for the response. I will take a look at the additional documentation and look into how to re-set my Z-stop. I've been printing with Ninja Flex for a while and have been using the settings that I started in this discussion here: http://forum.makergear.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2212&p=...

Hi community, I recently had to trouble shoot a problem with my printer. You can see what happened in the picture below. When the printer was trying to put down the first layer it wouldn't stick to the glass ... because it was too far away from the glass! By continuously experimenting with settings ...

Re: Ninjaflex with Simplify3D
Hey Makers, Thanks for all the help and input. I have successfully printed a number of pieces with Ninjaflex. Woot!!! I am using a Makergear M2 with the V3b extruder and Simplify 3d software. Here is the summary of my experiment: - Used a new nozzle dedicated to the filament. (but not necessary if y...

Re: Ninjaflex with Simplify3D
Ok, I think I got it. 2nd setting from the bottom, click on 'coast at end' and change it to 1 mm? the rest of the checklist ... - Use a new nozzle dedicated to the filament. (but not necessary if I clean it) - Set extruder to 250C - set speed to 1100 mm/min - spray hot bed with hair spray, or just l...

Re: Ninjaflex with Simplify3D
1) Hotter is better, but if it sticks it will stay stuck for the whole print. DO NOT USE KAPTON HOLY MOLY IT DOES NOT COME OFF. 2) I mount mine on the side. The tube falls over but nothing in the system cares. 3) It purges out fine, you can use the same hotend 4) Hotter is better, slower is better ...
