Re: Modified Ikea enclosure

Here's the setup of the tube inside the cabinet... Having the printer "sideways" actually makes it easier to access all three leveling screws. Also, the printer frame is not in the exact middle, so it's still easy to remove prints. The print surface is a sheet of ultem bonded to the glass with 3m ad...

Re: Modified Ikea enclosure

I didn't go with a fan, just leave the door open a couple of inches when printing with ABS so it does not get too hot in there. Works fine. I really like the clean look of the white cabinet with the fan on top though!

Re: Dual Extruder Firmware with VIKI LCD Panel

Look at the True/False settings in the attached pic under the config.h file to set the extrude direction (someone had a question about this). Due to the drive gear being placed on the opposite side, the extruder also has to run in the opposite direction.

Re: Dual Extruder Firmware with VIKI LCD Panel

@fmeroney: Not sure about the fans... Try pushing the reset button and see what happens? Perhaps, reinstall the firmware after pushing the reset button? I doubt it's the wiring... As far as the jerk rates and accel, I've never messed with them. If I see too much ghosting I just slow down the print s...

Re: Dual Extruder Firmware with VIKI LCD Panel

It's fixed! Thanks to insta and jsc! I modified the firmware and now the extruders are both valid and heat as they should. I am using Simplify3D with the Viki LCD on my machines and this is perfect. Soooo, IF YOU HAVE THE VIKI LCD, install and wire the duals as MakerGear instructs, download and inst...

Re: Help with V4 dual extruder

I also added the temperature controller for T1 to see if that was a solution (per jsc's note)... It was not... I'll look at the firmware insta used and see if I can identify any differences and perhaps resolve the conflict...

Re: Help with V4 dual extruder

So here's what I'm seeing regarding the invalid extruder, maybe this helps... I uploaded the most current firmware from the MakerGear link (not the Viki supported firmware from insta) and everything heated and worked like a charm. Then I uploaded the "hacked-up" firmware that insta had posted and ch...
