Re: Black ePC - disappointing first print

Karl, is the new printer enclosed? I ask because one would expect the black ePC to emit heat faster - ie, cool down sooner, which might affect adjacent layer bonding. If extruding at a higher temperature causes other problems, it seems possible that there is no (NO) satisfactory way to print with th...

Re: PETG your favorite brand?

It's good to know this, Karl, I suppose because it saves me the time needed toput a cabinet together.

Re: Black ePC - disappointing first print

thanks much Karl, I imagined 247 was a bit too hot. I've had very good luck with elmer's extra strength stick glue on kapton. I have a piece of fiberboard which I use for removal of prints where there is a fairly solid face sitting on the kapton. I put the glass on a bench, line up the fiberboard wi...

Re: Black ePC - disappointing first print

Karl, I've been printing eSun PETG clear at 247C for thin shells for R/C aircraft wings. they seem pretty strong to me, but i will have to mess with rafts to deal with what appears to be some shrinkage distortion just above the table - first 3/8 inch or so. No fan, bed at 87C. What temperature do yo...

Re: bubbles in PETG prints?

Re: bubbles in PETG prints?

print velocity might have an effect. there are far fewer bubbles in the straight runs. most of them are in the curves. i'm printing at 247C - maybe I ought to back off to 241 and see what effect it has. ??

bubbles in PETG prints?

This is a wing section I'm designing to use on a foam r/c plane. Wingspan wil be 52 inches and each of these sections is a bit over 7 inches long - length determined by rib geometry. Filament is fresh Exun PETG Clear. I'm using the PETG profile shared on this site. So why am I getting what appear to...
