Re: PETG build surface adhesion advice
If petg is not sticking to your glass or polymide tape, your Z offset is not set correctly, or you are printing way to fast. I have had PETG remove a chunk of glass from my stock glass plate when not using tape.. Thanks. I've had nozzle clogs from printing at 90% first layer (where ABS and PLA work...

Re: PETG build surface adhesion advice
Thank you. I've not heard of buildtak. As I just researched, it looks like my Overture PETG came with a little square of it. You have to recalibrate your nozzle height once you stick that on your your bed right? If I switch materials a lot (I do) looks like I might need to just get another piece of ...

PETG build surface adhesion advice
Can I please have some suggestions that work for some of you using PETG regularly? I've newly starting working with PETG and it looks like I'm having build surface adhesion problems. I've got / tried both the standard glass and the polymide coated version. I've tried hairspray on the glass and most ...

Re: Help with a difficult print
I'm noticing that the retraction is causing the first mm or so of travel on support nozzle (tool 1) to not come out. Example, as the layer switches from printing support to object material, the head will stop, retract and then extrude the other nozzle to continue. On the next layer, when its time to...

Garrett,
It's fully enclosed and the fans are off. I have a heat light to bring the temp to 75 and then power off (thermostat control).

Help with a difficult print
My son asked for the Rolls Royce hood ornament for his birthday. I'm doing in ABS so I can shine later with vapor bath. The issue seems to be that very small parts of the print detach from the print surface during print and this snowballs into a mess in later layers. I've tried the polymide coted su...

Re: command to send bed to print first layer
Thanks. I may not have asked the question correctly. I don't want to change the height settings in the printer. I want to adjust the nozzle on one of the extruders by loosening the nozzle screw. Is there a way to send the bed to start and have it stay there? I know I can tape the knob but that's not...

command to send bed to print first layer
I’d like to slightly adjust the nozzle heights on my M2 Dual with 4 level screws. What gcode command can I use to send the bed to a “starting point” for printing? This happens in the bed leveling tool when I click “check bed height.” I don’t want to go through the entire bed leveling though. Just wa...

Re: rev e dual z axis inverted
I have so many upgrades on my machine (dual extruder, lcd, v4 metal kit) that a "rev" isn't really accurate. The firmware "rev" for this is E and I have that loaded. FYI - the spider bed upgrade comes with a new bottom Z stop max, so yes and no on "comparing and un-doing." Makergear support sent me ...
