Re: Palette filament guide connector
I'm using it with my other machine -- bigger, works well -- Palette+ just came out and price is lower, no reason it won't work with M2. I'm happy with it. I'm going to switch my M2 back to single extruder since I have the Palette+ now and no longer need dual on the M2

Re: The State of the Gear
You make an M4, with direct drive idex, you are the only machine at that size with those capabilities. M3 with direct drive idex already kills the Sigma. PS -- upgrades for M2 -- would be awesome to move the M2 to an idex system.

Re: PEI Bed Surface
I've never needed ABS juice. Just normally have to adjust tbe z to squish more than PLA or PETG it works fine at 95, I've done a box nearly the size of the bed on the M2 with no lifting, also out of hatchbox abs (white). I've never went about 95c. The point with PEI is that you should not need any j...

Re: PEI Bed Surface
Considering that I made the effort to laminate a 500mm bed for my giant delta, considering how hard it is to get the adhesive to go on bubble free, I have no expectation to ever remove it.

Re: PEI Bed Surface
A thin film will need to be replaced. LulzBot uses thin film, different application method, but idea is the same. I notice after a few hundred prints PEI needs a light sanding with 600+ grit to get sticking again. A thin film leaves not much material to sand away. I have removed PEI from glass befor...

Re: PEI Bed Surface
I have been following this discussion but I am still not certain what is the final (if any) conclusion about gluing the PEI to the MIC-6. The Pliobond contact cement #25 sounds like the best choice. The 3M 468, by contrast, is rated only to 100 degrees Fahrenheit , so I can't imagine why people are...

Re: PEI Bed Surface
that's the tape. Roll out a bit of tape fast (going slow will make the edges gummy) to make sure the edges of the tape are not all gummy. Cut it off the roll, use longer than 10 inch pieces so you have some length to hold on both ends. Then apply it by holding the piece of tape in each hand and hold...

Re: PEI Bed Surface
And for folks who are looking for a perfect piece of PEI, https://www.zoro.com/search?q=ULTEM they have lots of sizes and thicknesses, and if you have more than 1 printer, getting a bigger sheet is more cost effective. (of if you have a bigger printer than the M2, or other 12" bed sizes as other so...
