Re: eSun PLA+ filament

Have a spool of Hatch transparent that keeps snapping off if I let the machine sit idle for more than a couple hours. Got tired of rethreading the machine. Also worried about the brittleness of resulting prints... PLA+ alleged to be much less brittle than regular PLA, and read the _first_ post on th...

Re: Any new M2 version in the works? M3, etc.?

In the commercial realm, support contracts for products are very common. Sometimes these support contracts include upgrades to current rev. This is particularly true for software products. But these support contracts can be quite expensive. I own a piece of relatively inexpensive commercial grade so...

Re: Any new M2 version in the works? M3, etc.?

Makergear faces a classic dilemma in a fast moving high tech business. If you pre-announce some whizzy new product, sales of the current generation goes to zero. Makergear goes out of business before they can ship said whizzy new product. This is a pattern most people should be familiar with. If you...

Re: ePC eSun PolyCarbonate settings?

OK next question. Is the V4 upgrade a one way trip?

I've got the V3b dialed in for what I'm doing. Is it possible to easily switch between V3b and V4??

Hmmm.... that's interesting. I've run 10s of KG of PETg through my V3b at 250 with no apparent problems??

Ignorance is bliss apparently.

Re: ePC eSun PolyCarbonate settings?

Is it possible to print ePC with a V3b extruder?

Desire the flammability rating but don't want to upgrade to V4.

Re: Apparent Y axis stepper slip

After spending several months attempting to eliminate all other possible causes... I'm ready to give the firmware a try. I've done enough software upgrades to approach this with considerable trepidation. Mucking with the firmware/software is a good way to turn a largely functional piece of equipment...

Filament drive replacement print

I've pushed quite a bit of PETg through my M2 and I've now noticed some issues with feeding a new filament and that the hole in the filament drive appears oblonged. Searched the forum a bunch, but haven't found a "filament drive replacement" thread. Perhaps its there and I just missed it? Given that...

Apparent Y axis stepper slip

I've had this problem for quite a while now. It doesn't always happen, but often enough to deserve attention. The bad news is it always happens at the very end of a print (last nights 14 hour print for example). The good news is I can usually salvage the printed objects. This morning near the end of...

Re: Comments on (sorta) high volume FDM printing

Dude, cast those in resin. Hands down. I've considered something like that... but frankly don't know/have that capability. Trying to brute force it out with something that's mostly working. Having said that, can you give me a pointer on how I might go about giving casting a good evaluation? Thanks....
