Hi Josh,
I just returned after a long time away (been very busy). I just wanted to say that I think the new board looks very nice. I hope the functionality meets everyone's requirements, since it looks much better, IMHO.
Have a great day,
Jim

Bed Heater Wire Clamp Model
Hi All, I want to make a wire guide for the bed heater wires that changes the wire direction 90deg downward. The direction, going straight out the back is running into the enclosure I am building. Is there a model anywhere of the clamp for the wires that attaches at the back of the bed? I started me...

Re: Extruder Acceleration - Holy Crap!
I have noticed the play in the X-axis slide. I briefly looked into a better option for it, but I don't remember the details. I think there is a tighter tolerance and/or a wider slide assembly available. Has anyone else looked into this, or even upgraded?
Have a great day,

High reading on extruder thermistor
Hi all, I have been having some issues lately that I thought someone here might be able to help with. I am printing ASA at 262degC which seems hot, but I am not getting very good interlayer adhesion. I have also had some problems with printing nylon that would also seem to indicate the extruder is r...

Re: Big ABS prints adherence problem
Are you running the bed fan? In my experience, it is best to print ABS with the bed fan off to reduce warping such as this. Although, insta could be correct and you may never get this to stick to the bed in ABS. Another idea would be to put a big brim on it. I have occasionally had luck with brims, ...

Re: Gaps in solid layers, why?
I would use S3D to decrease the z-height. Under the G-Code tab is a box called Global G-Code Offsets. Decrease the Z-Axis to some negative value to start printing with the extruder closer to the bed.

Re: Heavy parts & Platform Deflection?
Are you still using the 3 point leveling system with the springs? I could see where you would get the result you are seeing with that setup. If the CG of the part is in the center, the 2 center aligned supports would deflect slightly, but the right hand one would remain in its original position. Tha...

Re: Mid-print Filament Change difficulties
Yes, you have to click it twice, because S3D doesn't know that you paused the print from the SD card, so the first time you press it S3D will send the M25 command to pause the print. The second time you press it S3D sends the M24 command to resume. I saw this in the communication tab of the machine ...

Re: Mid-print Filament Change difficulties
Yes, it seems strange to me also. I have tested it multiple times and I cannot figure out why it is doing what it is doing. I read through the g-code listing at the reprapwiki, and it seems like there should be no reason for this happening. Do you restart with the S3D "Pause SD Print" button also? I...

Mid-print Filament Change difficulties
Hi all, I am using this piece of code: ;Change filament G91 ; set relative positioning G0 Z40 ; raise Z (drop bed) G90 ; set absolute positioning M84 S0 ; disable idle timeout M25 ; Pause SD Print G92 E0 ; zero extruder to pause my print and change the filament. It seems as if you have to retract an...
