Re: Is it worth buying the kit just for "experience?"

yea i ended up having to go back and refer to the diagram version for some pieces.

all told mine took about 4 hours as well.... and at least half of that was fitting the damn nuts into the 3d printed parts ><

Re: prints failing immediately..

I am quickly coming to find that beginners luck was just setting me up. I would have a hell of a time removing the prints from the tape. as far as storage I have been keeping my rolls in a container; haven't been using the rice but the bin has stuff built in to keep out moisture..... the excetion be...

Re: prints failing immediately..

Thank you both for all this; been using plus painters tape but been applying while the bed is warm. Bed adhesion never occured to me outside of replacing the tape; that's about the one thing I haven't had issues with until this point lol edit: as far as the clear PLA is a no name I found on amazon f...

Re: prints failing immediately..

20150803_202153.jpg tried clearing it out, reset the s3d profile i was using and still this happens. the calibration cube prints out (mostly) fine, bottom layer seems to round the corners a little more than the rest of the ones that follow. if i do manage to get it to not gobble up the PLA it lays ...

prints failing immediately..

I started using Rsilvers PLA FFF in S3d and it worked perfectly. I went through probably 5 or 6 prints with no issues. Yesterday I was out of town so I didn't use my printer at all; today I go to start a hemisphere piece (of which I already printed one with no issue) and it starts stringing slightly...

Re: M2 Auto-Leveling Kit (Beta)

While I've only had my m2 for roughly a week now, it's safe to say I haven't quite mastered the hardware. What I can say is I suck at leveling. I'm sure it doesn't help that the m2 has made the trip back and forth to work with me just about every day. Is at least functional to the point this would b...

Re: loving my printer but need help with two things...

my top fan is constantly going full from the time the power goes on. i've yet to see it slow outside of a pause when i connect. I suppose I need to switch to S3D, for the time I was using Slic3r and was getting used to it. I haven't actually measured it but it's the 1.75 roll that comes with the kit...

Re: M2 new user experience

i'm sort of curious about this z stop; my printer only shipped friday and (i possibly missed it in the fray of box opening) didn't get the SD card. my Z stop is acting up which thus far i've attributed to a short in the wire; i guess I could have set it up wrong if it's one of the new ones.

20150721_203002.jpg 20150721_203006(1).jpg heres two pics I took of what i've done thus far. the left coin was done with .1 layers, at 210 c, figuring the temp was high I tried it at 175 and it came out much worse. could I possibly have the extruder to close to the plate? the second picture is of a...
