Happy to report back that I'm AOK now. Everything seems like it is working. I wish I knew exactly what I did that fixed it all up, but I definitely, did a careful reseating of the electronics.

Ok, so I am still stuck. If anyone can give me some troubleshooting advice (in easy to understand terms), that would be great - as my fan really isn't working at this point. Thanks.

So Happy, Really it seems I had 2 issues. 1 - A cracked extruder mount, and two gap between bed & extruder was off. Fixing those two things had really put me in a much better printing position ! If your new & having troubles, this is definitely the place to come, as the users here have been so nice ...
