Re: Layers are shifting all over the place

just closing this out, i did a little fine tuning and replaced the missing clips and she's printing beautifully.

I did get a new glass build plate with the tape applied from makergear and i'm amazed how much better my prints are with the tape instead of hairspray and glue sticks.

Re: Layers are shifting all over the place

So i think this was a senior moment, i realized while looking up how to tighten the belts that the banana clips on the glass plate have been missing the past few prints...

Layers are shifting all over the place

Re: Layer Height and width

So guys, after reading this i have a bit of a noob question.

I've only been printing at .2 for a while now, if i lower to 1.5 will simplify3d automatically adjust the other settings or are there other settings I should change to compensate for this shift in layer width?

Thanks!

Re: How To: Guide to Getting Started (with Troubleshooting T

Jules, I finally got a chance to play with my M2, its been great. I've printed off a few prop pieces so far. Two things I may add from my own newbie experience. The speed even when notched down from 4800 to 4000 is still fast, the motion of the print head will cause a lot of inertial movement: Make ...

Re: How To: Guide to Getting Started (with Troubleshooting T

Jules,

Thank you for this quick start guide, i just pulled the trigger on the makergear after having two dremel idea builders go belly up on me over the course of 6 days. Looking forward to trying out the steps, i will definitely let you know how it goes.
