Re: The State of the Gear
Here is a side by side of the M4 with an M2. It has been, off and on, in development for about a year. Rick, it looks like there is no z knob on the m4! It must be on all machines! I use this so often it would be terrible to not have it! I even account for its use in some of my designs. Perhaps ins...

Re: The State of the Gear
At Rapid we'll also have the 12"x12"x12" M4. We'd like to get some feedback before going into production. Im getting on the list for an m3 idex, how do we get on the list for an m4 idex? Will it be possible to run the heads at the same time on different parts (same design of course)? If not this wo...

Re: Rev D to E Upgrade?
Upgrading the bed is fairly straight forward and was done in 20min or so taking my time (minus the firmware!!)... Finally got to changing it out last week after having the bed for a month or two! Loosen the y motor and remove the belt. With heated plate and glass off, remove the 3point spider and th...

Re: LCD Viki 2.0 vs Makergear LCD
Pretty sure you can pause/stop it right away (or at least mine has that functionality)? Yes you can once the print has started... ie after the purge just not until then Extruding and retracting filament isn't bad...just go to the menu then Prepare -> Move Axis (scroll all the way down) -> Move 1 mm ...

Re: LCD Viki 2.0 vs Makergear LCD
I have all my printers side by side so they need to take up as small of a foot print as possible. they are even slightly staggered to allow for a closer fit so the other side, mounted similarly would be ideal for me. Ive been wondering if it voids any warranty if you remove the knob on the lcd as it...

Re: Making an M2's Nozzle Self Cleaning & gcode
A rubber wipe maybe but never anything that could scratch the tip of the nozzle! Even the tiniest of scratch will give you less then desirable results, it will print just not as it should. If its curling up on you then you have a dirty nozzle that either needs cleaning or a longer purge. The tweezer...

Re: LCD Viki 2.0 vs Makergear LCD
LCD is often slow and at times i have to turn the knob to half way between indents to select what I need to! Cant even count the number of times ive started the wrong print and then have to wait for it to actually start printing to stop it before restarting again... I find that the more files you ha...

Re: hotend thermostat issue
My printers run as close to 24/7 as i can keep them running, so perhaps they are to be considered a consumable. It would be nice to get a baseline of typical life span to plan for which is why im asking the community... after i replaced the thermistor it started working just fine again... I must not...
