Re: Extruder Zig-Zag
Thank You all again for your willingness to share your insight with all us Newbies. I just started reading through the Set up hints and it just shows me how much there is still to learn. On a side note, my niece was over last nights gut and asked me to print three flat puzzle pices in pink. The only...

Re: Extruder Zig-Zag
I've been printing the same thing for the last 6 months (Raptor Reload Hand) without any problems. It started with the Zig -Zag last week. I thought it might be the filament I brought (Inland) so I switched back to Hatchbox. It still happened so I ordered and installed a brand new .35 hot end. I'm u...

Extruder Zig-Zag
I'm not even sure how to search for this condition. When my extruded prints I'm getting a zig zag pattern. I attached a photo of the purge. As you can imagine it's causing hell with inter-layer adhesion.

Re: Strings and things
So frustrating! I found out that after printing the base. The filament retracts above the gripper wheel but the printer just keeps printing.

Re: Strings and things
I changed the setting as you mentioned and I thought it was printing great until it finished with the base. Once it started on anything vertical it just stopped extruding even after I bumped the temp to 210.

Strings and things
I have a Makergear M2 24V V4. Been having problems with blobs / zits / stringing etc. went through Simplify 3D's pictorial of bad prints looking for help. I've changed filaments ABS - PLA enabled / dis abled retraction (Distance, Speed Coast). I printed with temps ranging from 215 - 225 (PLA). The p...

Re: Stringly and brittle
The PLA didn't budge at 220. Tried several different rolls. This is my second brand new nozzle.

Re: Stringly and brittle
Well that didnt last long. I tried printing a prosthetic hand again with horrible results. The print outline is perfect, no adhesion problems. But there are blobs and strings throughout. I have been printing the same exact file for over three months. Except for a change in scaling factor, nothing ha...

Once again your collective knowledge and willingness to share has returned my printer (and pride) to it's original condition.

Re: Stringly and brittle
Thank You for your replies. I started from scratch again and noticed some anomalies. With my fans removed, I noticed that the ABS filament loads between the gripper wheel and roller and precedes to the extruded. It extrudes for a period of time then just stops. . I bumped my temp to 230 and the same...
