Help! Printer will not fully power on!

So the exteuder fan went out the other night. I was rotating it to look at the extruder and the wires to it just snapped. I attempted to solder them back on tonight. Plugged in the resoldered fan and now when the printer is powered on it sounds different. The fan on the motherboard will not start up...

Prints separating at joints...

Hey everbody!! I am having a problem. Hopefully someone has some ideas. I use a MakerGear M2. And most prints I am having great success. But with this new print, I am having an issue where at certain parts of my model it's separating and pulling up on corners. You can see it pretty clearly in this i...

Re: ABS prints are slightly bent.

It would probably work with 0.05 mm layers around 0.2 mm interior layers, but that's just crazy talk. Better to slather jsc's favorite dressing on the thing: XTC-3D FTW, so I gather. Have you used STC-3D? I am curious how it works on parts with tons of small detail? I am printing very small parts w...

Re: ABS prints are slightly bent.

Well the main reason I am using ABS is because that's what I have been using. So it's what I am familiar with. Also, for the project I am working on bonding it together with Acetone makes is SUPER simple afterwards. And on the Flashforge Creator Pro I was using I was able (After much trial and error...

Re: ABS prints are slightly bent.

What you guys are saying makes a lot of sense. So if I understand what you're saying, to fix the problem I would need to enclose my printer somehow so that the heat stays more even over the course of the print. That way the top layers are not contracting as much. So what I am confused about then, is...

Re: ABS prints are slightly bent.

So I just did a big print and it was perfect. Stayed totally flat to the bed. The second I took a big piece off I set it on a flat table and watched and and when I laid it down it was totally flat. I then watched as it warped raising the middle from the table over about 10 seconds!! This is frustrat...

ABS prints are slightly bent.

Hello all, so I got my new Makergear M2 and ran a few prints with the black PLA that came with it and all went great. Prints are looking great. I tried to do a high detail print with the PLA and it didnt work as well as the large prints. Just came out too rough. Might need to adjust the settings but...

Re: Which Software to use for Makergear M2?

So what you're saying makes sense. But I am still having one major issue here. Have you used MakerBot Desktop? If so, then you would know that in it you have FULL control using a series of well designed UI tools to orient in all axis, scale in all axis and place in all axis your objects on the platf...

Which Software to use for Makergear M2?

Hello Everyone!! I just placed my order for my Makergear M2 last night and it said this morning that it shipped!! I am super excited but I am not sure about 1 thing. Which software should I use? My experience up to this point on 3d printing has been importing .stl files into MakerBot Desktop to crea...
