Re: M2 Build Plates Slowly Deforming

Thanks Zimlin! But what about belt tension? I have them looser than they were from the factory but not sure how loose is too loose. I basically pulled them thight enough to take out any slack but only about 1/2 the original PULLEM tight tension.. Belt tension on timing/toothed belts is not that cri...

Re: Black ePC - disappointing first print

I printed filament drives for my M2 dual using clear ePC and never had any issue with them. PETG is pretty sticky in sliding contact. It might not be a good choice for the filament drives.

Re: Black ePC - disappointing first print

Yes, the printer is enclosed, but not temperature controlled. It's been running around 50C on the inside.

Re: Black ePC - disappointing first print

Well, back on the topic of black ePC, I finally had reason to spool it back up and see what I can get from it again. Just to clarify, my M2 has been removed from service and replaced by Raise printers, but I see that as a fairly minor detail in this subject. eSun had suggested I run the black at a l...

Thanks - just went into that thread and clicked EDIT on a couple posts. All seemed fine - the attachments didn't get lost.

Re: Black ePC - disappointing first print

Karl, I've been printing eSun PETG clear at 247C for thin shells for R/C aircraft wings. they seem pretty strong to me, but i will have to mess with rafts to deal with what appears to be some shrinkage distortion just above the table - first 3/8 inch or so. No fan, bed at 87C. What temperature do y...

Re: PETG your favorite brand?

Apparently ABS is not a good choice for this sort of thin shell fabrication, but I'm not sure why. The Czechs advise against it, but don't say why. I run single-wall vase-mode prints to dial in the best temperature for a filament. The single-wall shell is easy to flex to see how easily the layers s...

Re: Printing with Ninjaflex?

The best build surface I've found for Ninjaflex is Garolite LE - linen-based phenolic sheet - which also works well for nylons.

That link doesn't work. What diameter is the hose?
