Re: M3 and Simplify 3d (sort of an unboxing)

Quick follow up. Got the Rasberry Pi Unit shut down. Was a little confusing because you have to shut it down twice. Both before you power off the M3 and after you power it back on. The 2nd time the Pi stays off and S3D controls the M3 perfectly. Also for any new M3 owners, here is a link to the offi...

Re: M3 and Simplify 3d (sort of an unboxing)

I don't think there are many people on the forum using the M3 yet (which is probably why there is no dedicated section yet) so you might just want to contact support on this issue. (they are really quick to help with any problems that come up) No clue when it comes to the M3 but if you can connect ...

M3 and Simplify 3d (sort of an unboxing)

Howdy printer community! Well I've had my new M3 for about two weeks. Biggest disappointment was the "True Leveling" feature. Stupidly my mind conflated the words "True" and "Auto". Shame on me. There's really nothing "Auto" about the leveling procedure and honestly I prefer the old M2 method of eye...

Re: Any heat resistant Plastics for GPS bracket in a boat?

I'm working on a part that would live in a car's glove compartment. [...] I read that glove compartments can get as hot as 66c. Do you guys think PETG can survive for an entire summer in a glove compartment without warping? I was in a similar situation a month ago when I wanted to design a replacem...

Re: Any heat resistant Plastics for GPS bracket in a boat?

Yeah, the PLA+ was no different at all. It was all woppy-jawed after one day. I'm not sure I'm concerned at all about UV since we're talking about something being in the glove compartment and out of the sun. I just got the yellow PETG today and am setting it up right now. I will let you guys know ho...

Re: Any heat resistant Plastics for GPS bracket in a boat?

I'm working on a part that would live in a car's glove compartment. The first material I tried was Gizmo Dork's standard green PLA. It warped after only one day inside my glove compartment which didn't really surprise me. I was expecting it to warp as I've had PLA parts warp after sitting for awhile...
