Re: Taulman 910
I'm pulling my hair out trying to get a good print using a roll of black 910. I tried Quaver's profile but I keep getting nasty blobs all over the outside of the prints. I'm using a v4 extruder and I've got the temp up to 270  now. I started at 250 but the layers weren't bonding and the parts ...

Re: Thomas turntable replacement track
Nice job! That's the kind of thing I love having a 3d printer around for.
The other day our dog broke the bracket that holds her dish to the side of her crate. Within a couple hours I made a replacement part and the dish was back in place.

Re: Extrusion issue
You might need to unclog the hotend.
If you follow this advice make sure you use a long hex key or hold it with something as it will heat up quickly.

Re: SketchUp - How to make rounded edges
I find 123D Design just as easy to use and more powerful than sketchup and It's also free.

If you want to learn a real cad program Fusion 360 is free but has a much steeper learning curve.

Re: Need tips on lubricating M2
The M2 maintenance instructions call for periodic cleaning and light oil on the rails. Are you sure the chirping isn't coming from the steppers? I added dampers to mine and now the fans are the loudest part of the printer. http://forum.makergear.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2552&p=23365&hilit=damper#p23...

Re: BLTouch Auto Leveling Sensor
I've been busy converting to dual print heads and haven't worked on the bltouch setup any more.
I've kind of decided that using a dial indicator to level the bed is easy enough that I don't need the extra hardware on my M2.

Re: New and different dual extruder idea
Thanks Tim,
I just finished printing the parts in ePC and I think I'll go ahead and make a set in PETg before I tear the M2 down and start modding it for dual.

Re: New and different dual extruder idea
Tim,
What type of filament did you print your parking plates and mount couplings out of? I printed them in PLA and the magnets pull out when I separate them.
Thanks,
-Tom
