Re: attempting nozzle removal - barrel spins
May be a late reply: but there is a allen screw hole at the back of the hot end. You can use that to hold it in place. The hot end is actually 5 parts: 1. Aluminium bloc 2. Barrel 3. Nozzle 4. Cartridge Heater 5. Thermocouple On thing though: do not torch the barrel even if it is clogged. There must...

Re: Filament Strips Out and Jams at Specific Z Height
Probably not the same cause as yours, but here's what I experienced recently. I began in 2016 by printing PLA mostly, then about three months later switched to PETG. About 6 months ago I began printing with Taulman 910 and do most of my prints with that now. I recently reprinted parts in PETG and ha...

Re: M2 Z-Axis Caps
Mmmm... why don't you just change the starting heigth from sofware using these lines? The quote below is from someone else on the forum. Use M501 to read the EEPROM parameters, Look for M206. (it should look something like M206 X0.0 Y0.0 Z-6.0) You can then adjust it using M206 Z[new value] and then...

Re: Ripple / Shadow effect on raised details?
I just ordered two dampeners and will see what they do!
For the acceleration, well, my PETG was already set at 1000 because I took my initial profil from you Jules. And all my PETG has ringing.
And you got to to tell me what you mean by catty corner. I googled the thing and had no luck.

Re: Ripple / Shadow effect on raised details?
Thanks for the replies!
I will probably begin by looking at the Nema dampeners. I read about it before, but thought they were mainly for noise improvements so I did not really dig into that.
Thanks again guys!

Re: Ripple / Shadow effect on raised details?
Mmm... Maybe...
The black one is PLA. I think it was at 60 mm/s.
The blue one is PETG at 40 mm/s.

Ripple / Shadow effect on raised details?
Hi there, Any time I have a raised detailed on a side wall (lettring for example) I can see a ripple effect of that detail. I have been wondering for a while what could cause this, but did not come to any kind of solution so far. Does any of you have any idea what could cause this? Thanks! Capture1....

Re: Zero: Manual vs Printing mode on a Rev.E
Well no I don't see it worth the time. I understand that what I am trying to achieve is not easily doable.
It would have been nice though to be able to get that number at which the print begins.
I understand that number is somehow hidden though.
Thanks Jules!

Re: Zero: Manual vs Printing mode
Kind of yes. I saw that thread and understood I can adjust the Z height using those codes, but I would like to know from what height I start. I do not want the print start height to be the Z home. I would like to manually home the Z height (at the bottom near the switch), and then enter a line of co...
