Re: 3DXTech Carbon fiber infused abs

I couldn't get the Filament Innovations Carbon Fiber ABS Hybrid Filament to bond between layers. The layers easily delaminated. I tried the extruder temperature at 255c and 220c. I also tried changing the default print speed from 48000 to 18000.

Re: 3DXTech Carbon fiber infused abs

Hi Jules,

Thank you for your information.

I'm currently running a print using 255C for the extruder and it looks great so far.

Question I didn't use the cleaning filament as you recommended and yes I was switching from PLA. What is cleaning filament and why is it needed?

Re: 3DXTech Carbon fiber infused abs

I just purchased the Filament Innovations Carbon Fiber ABS located here:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016PEBPEO/?tag=soubayrid-20

I have MakerGear M2 Rev 4 with the .35mm stock nozzle using Kapton tape.

Are these temperature settings a good start point?

Re: What is the pupose of the MicroSD card?

Hi Jules, Thank you for the above information. After I initiated the printing from the SD Card and the print job was going, I decided to just exit the Simplify3D program and as soon I did that the print job stopped. I would expect that once I start the print job via SD Card all communication using U...

Re: Fusion 360 - Close off pipe end

The method I described has a problem, the cylinder at .05" is not thick enough, when I pulled the pipe off the platform the cylinder stuck to the platform as it broke away from the pipe. I suppose I need to make the cylinder thicker.

Thank you, jsc.

I'm using inches not mm.

Thank you for your suggestion, Farr0wn3d.

I tried that but that but it only extrudes the outer part of the inner circle face.

Re: Fusion 360 - Close off pipe end

Solution found:

Construct Offset Plane -> Select face (end of pipe)

Now you can create the plug:

9) Create Cylinder -> Make diameter of inside pipe -> .05 thickness
