Re: Extruder motor reverses direction with resistance
This seems to be resolved now. I am able to extrude filament from the control panel without issue. I opened the stepper motor open and found a fractured solder joint on one of the connector pins. re-flowed that joint, reassembled and so far all is well. I found that the two outside pins of the conne...

Extruder motor reverses direction with resistance
I was on the tail end of a small print and the printers started making a grinding noise, turned out to be the extruder motor. With very slight amount of resistance(the amount provided from the filament is enough) it will reverse direction until it hits resistance and will reverse again. I attached a...

Flexible filament not extruding M3
I finally got around to trying to print flexible filament on the M3 and it seems to have a very hard time extruding. With the SainSmart TPU and with NinjaFlex (more so Ninja Flex) the drive gear for the filament just fails to advance the filament forward. It is not grinding the filament like you mig...

The M3-ID vs the M2 Rev E
I printed a test print on a M3-ID and an M2 at the same time with the same g-code file. Here are some pictures for the results https://imgur.com/a/TplT2 . The differences are generally slight except when it comes to the finer details. The cooling fans are just the stock fans for each machine. Nozzle...

Test prints, M2 Rev E. vs M3-ID gallery
I have an M2 and an M3-ID sitting right next to each other at work so I decided to print the same GCode file with each printer and see how they did. Below is a link to a short gallery of the results. I used MakerGear black PLA for both and I used Simplify3D to slice the model at 0.1mm layer height. ...

Re: MAKERGEAR M3-ID reviews
I personally own an M2, and was able convince my place of work to buy an M2 about a year ago, and just recently an M3-ID. The M3-ID comes with a download key for Simplify3D, that alone improved the quality of my prints, I found that the print path of each layer happens in a much more logical manner ...

Extrusion issue
I had been successfully using the PLA provided with the M2 for about a week. Today When I tried to print from a file I have printed 3 times before the extruder stopped extruding after the first couple of layer. The motor is turning the filament just ins't moving. My best guess so far is that the gea...
