Re: Busted thermistor ?
Measuring the thermistor's resistance at the connector on the extruder will identify the problem. It should be around 100 kΩ; you'll probably find a much lower value. Yes, at room temperature the thermistors resistance was around 40 ohm, as mentioned above ;) Thanks, then I know it is something sho...

Re: Busted thermistor ?
I've done some measuring on my M2: First off, the thermistor on the v4 extruder reports about 40 ohms at room temperature. Less resistance when temperature gets colder, and higher restistance when exposed to higher temperatures. (I tested with cooling spray and a lighter) However, when testing with ...

Re: Busted thermistor ?
I wiggled all the cables, but it was still up and around 300 degrees. It did vary somewhat, but not down to normal room temperature.. more like *maybe* down to 280 from 340~ish. When I unplugged the thermistor, the reading on my Viki LCD, did only report 0 degrees when the thermistor was out, as I s...

Busted thermistor ?
Hello! All of a sudden from out of the blue (printer printed fine yesterday), I'm having issues. This right after I've done some of the best prints in my printing career with everything perfectly aligned.... *grumble* .. When turning on my M2 (24V mod with the v4 extruder), the temperature on my noz...

Re: Octoprint/LCD
Funny. I was just thinking about adding a relay and modding the code of my pi to be able to shut down the printer once a print is done.. (or switch it on by remote for that matter)
Did you automate the shutdown once it was done?

Re: Dual Extruder Upgrade - Limited Availability
Any idea when the single v4 to dual v4 extruder kit will be ready?
I have loved my v4 extruder, and since I just started printing in rubber and flexible materials, this is REALLY where I see a big use for dual extruders.. flexible AND rigid in the same part.. *mmmm*

Re: Strange noise from extruder .. ?
Well, it is mostly evident in the end of the video. It is a sort of chugging noise, not as prominent as the extruder skipping, but sort of a rumbling grind, especially when it is moving around a lot. I will do some experiments, remove retraction and see if it is still doing the same sounds. At first...

Strange noise from extruder .. ?
Hello! After having my M2 for a year and half, I've started to have strange noises emerging from what seems to be the extruder area. For completeness sake, I do not currently have rubber spaces for the print bed, but rather ABS printed ones (The video that shows the noise attached is actually when p...

Re: Does this look infected?
Great, I have been looking to replace my extruder drive gera as well.
Blue Loctite has worked wonders in the past, but I've had issues cleaning out the grub screw, and I think my tiny Allen screw tool is starting to get a bit worn..
