Re: 1st Gen M2 heat bed dead again :(
original 12v PSU brick's LED is on as well All those LEDs show the low-current control path works fine, but I'm reasonably sure the teeny LED on the front of the platform isn't glowing, so the high-current path is broken. That little green LED is on while heat bed command is sent. Snipaste_2020-11-...

1st Gen M2 heat bed dead again :(
It died during a 16 hours PETG print job with 90C heat bed. Based on the look of the print, it stopped heating early stage of the print job. This is the 3rd time it has stopped working on me. Previous two incidents were involving printing ABS and power connector melted. I've added a big MOSFET after...

Re: Z stepper drops during pause
Do you know where to find such parameters? Dunno, because I've avoided LCDs and mid-print tweakage, but I think Marlin runs specific external routines when such events occur. Searching the doc for keywords like "custom G-Code" and maybe even "pause" might be productive; matching the doc to the spec...

Re: Z stepper drops during pause
Marlin has two configuration files: Configuration.h - "basic settings" Configuration_adv.h - "advanced settings" It's in the other one … [grin] I guess a new pair of glasses is in order for me :D. Thanks Ed! BTW, currently the nozzle stays at where it was paused. I've seen video that the nozzle mov...

Re: Z stepper drops during pause
DEFAULT_STEPPER_DEACTIVE_TIME is not found in my configuration.h. Marlin 1.1.x is too old?

Z stepper drops during pause
I've finally finished installing e3d Titan and v6 hotend, they work beautifully with Cura. While I was trying to change filament in mid print with pause command from LCD controller, the Z stepper would drop after maybe 30 seconds. It won't come back up after resume printing command. It must be a fir...

Re: Why use 19v for RAMBo?
When you start wondering why the steppers sometimes miss steps, you'll know the reason. Note that the E3D comes in 12 V and 24 V versions, so you'll be stuck with a high-performance 12 V hot end on a low performance 12 V printer. Don't buy yourself into a dead end … I've already bought 12v V6 in 20...

Re: Why use 19v for RAMBo?
If the connectors at the RAMBo haven't already charred, consider yourself inordinately lucky. Yes, mine has charred twice. I now have a big MOFSET for the headbed power, it seems to be OK now. That will pretty much wreck the printer's performance, because the stepper motor winding current's rate-of...

Makergear says v19 is mainly for the hotend.
