Re: Electronics Case Fan Not Turning On
All is well! M2 is up and running again! What I learned: 1. Always have the printed parts printed and on hand. 2. Be extremely careful to disassemble and reassemble correctly. As in pay attention to wiring polarities, etc. 3. Don't band-aid the problem. Fix it properly even if it means waiting a bit...

Re: Electronics Case Fan Not Turning On
Thanks for the visual Jim! Mine looks just like that too. Still not sure why it's not working.

Re: Electronics Case Fan Not Turning On
The thermistor on the m2 is in a metal sleeve that slides into the heater block. Its held in place with a small set screw. Just tighten that up. Now if the thermistor has slid out if the sleeve like mine did once, there is a plastic cover over it. Just be sure that is in place and slide it back in ...

Re: Electronics Case Fan Not Turning On
That's a bummer. I don't know where all the hardware guys went, but I'm sure one of them will come around and help you figure this out. Meanwhile, are you saying that you can't even connect to the M2 through S3D and jog around, or just that neither the extruder fan nor case fan turn on at start eve...

Re: Electronics Case Fan Not Turning On
Everything is 24V on your M2. The case fan and ext fan are in series so they will divide up the voltage. It is not clear to me what your current state is. Before you were saying the case fan didn't work, but the extruder fan did. And now, they both don't work? Don't run without the extruder fan blo...

Re: Electronics Case Fan Not Turning On
boxermegan, How old/new is this M2? If it's a newer 24-volt model (only one power supply brick), the electronic case fan and the 40mm fan on the extruder are in series, so if one runs, they're both getting current. If you're moving current through the electronics case fan, either the wires are shor...

Re: Paste Extruder
+1 for porcelain and metal clay. I'm aiming in that direction myself, but like jim commented, through printing the molds for the objects and then casting with different materials. I'm just finishing up the mold for a cast right now. The saga is documented in this thread: http://forum.makergear.com/...

Re: Paste Extruder
i havent heard of anyone doing it but a few guys have printed molds for casting and are doing some cool stuff with that. you will get much better detail doing it that way since the paste extruders i have seen have very little detail to them at all. there have been a few threads recently http://foru...
