Re: MakerGear M3-SE First Impressions

Rick, thank for the great M3 videos. I appreciate it. Owenwp said... Can we plug a webcam into the printer for remote monitoring through the embedded Octoprint server out of the box? Yes, and I found the webcam will work for conducting remote monitoring and creating time lapse videos. You can do bot...

Re: Simplify3D Profile for MakerGear M3-SE Needed

I tried the MakerGear M2 (24V V4 hotend) printer profile in Simplify3D for my new M3-SE and it worked great. Thanks!

MakerGear technical support also said that profile was fine to use. In related news, Rick said they are working on a related instructional video in his post in the other forum.

Re: MakerGear M3-SE First Impressions

MakerGear has posted the electronic version of the user manual for the M3. In case folks are wondering, the M3's onboard webserver running OctoPrint is running on a Raspberry Pi per the user manual. OctoPrint reports it is version 1.3.2.5 (master branch). I plugged an old Logitech web cam in to the ...

The printer comes with instructions regarding how to use OctaPrint with an open source slicer but I didn't see any instructions for Simplify3d printer settings. There is no "MakerGear M3" profile that I can select in t...

Re: The State of the Gear

I ordered a M3 (single extruder) on May 4th, 2017 and my order has been delayed. In response for my request for a status update, MakerGear said the following on June 2nd: "We are finishing up the user manual and waiting for some packaging to arrive but expect to have your M3 shipping out to you next...
