Re: Will Makergear ever fix the pinion problem?
I heated it with a heat gun for a minute and it pulled off without any trouble with a pliers.

Re: Bad feed drive stepper or other issue?
I took off the gearbox and wanted to ask if this is how this pinion is supposed to look, or if half of it is sheared off: https://s24.postimg.org/g6fjlfout/Full_Size_Render.jpg Just spinning the removed gearbox, that spins freely and the cogs look ok under a stereo microscope. I was making a print and then heard the printer making a bad skipping sound. I went to look, and the filament was tangled on the spool. I untangled it, but now I can't get the printer to work again - it skips when feeding. I took apart the feed system and cannot find any clogs or binding. I noticed ...

Re: Favorite Print Surface?
Made this Mic-6 plate today:

I use purple gluestick. Gluestick or certain types of hairspray are the way to go.
I am always surprised when I see people still using obsolete surfaces such as Kapton tape, painter's tape, ABS glue, etc.

Printed a MTB stem.
I have a real 60mm on order, but got impatient, so I designed and printed a 50mm one out of eSun PETG-G to see what it would be like:

Re: eSun PLA+ filament
Made bike handlebar ends from PLA+. Wow. The stuff is just insanely strong. Not usable as bar ends as too stiff - can’t push them in.
So I will be using PETG for that, which seems perfect.
