Re: Mic 6 tooling plate

i dont. i quit making those some years ago. insta took over for awhile. not sure if he still does that. for the shimming, it doesnt need to be dead nuts on both plates. just split the difference. if you can get them within .05, that should be good.

Re: Mic 6 tooling plate

i havent been on the forum other than a couple times the past year myself. i still use mic6 with hairspray on both my printers. wouldnt use anything else. it works for pretty much everything. as for the flatness, its probably not your build platform. you need to shim the x-rail to match the plate. n...

lower your print temp to reduce the fuzz but not so low you have adhesion issues. lower your temp 5 deg at a time until it goes away

Re: Single Outside Layer

print the switch in black then paint it white and laser through the paint. i have never used a laser so im just guessing if that would work. if switches are printed in abs and you paint with a solvent base paint then it will bond like crazy without any prep.

Re: Aging of PETG Filament?

thats prob not the issue. you could have the filament tension set too high which will cause you to squish the filament out of round and make it tight going through the filament path and extruder. can also be a partially clogged nozzle or the hot end is getting tight from buildup. this usually happen...

Re: Steps in Diagonal Lines

if your speaking of that wavy pattern in the filament on the first layer then insta is right. that is from printing too close to the bed. the filament is squishing out causing that. it will take a few layers to recover from that and get clean straight extrusions

Re: PLA Plus Other Than eSun?

i know and i have used it. i have used esun almost exclusively for 3 years. its not a specialty material. its pla just a slightly better grade/formulation. its not as hard and brittle. keep in mind when a company claims their material is stronger, that is a huge generalization. every material is str...

Re: PLA Plus Other Than eSun?

just look for any pla. pla+ from esun isnt the same as pla+ from another comapny. its just a name esun gave their premium pla line. its not a specific type of pla.
