Re: Marlin 2.0 Firmware for M2 Dual Rev D/E

Ringing/Ghosting is greatly reduced while still maintaining decent acceleration. The layers just look cleaner when doing back to back prints with the 1.0.x firmware that I was running. Overall I feel it was worth the effort to make the change. My printer has just "worked" for years and I didn't real...

Re: Marlin 2.0 Firmware for M2 Dual Rev D/E

I've been running Marlin v2.0.x for sometime now and had to disable Linear Advance early on. It seems to be broken with Junction_Deviation and even with Classic Jerk when they moved to LA v1.5. There appears to be a couple issues logged on Github for this. Mine sounded like it was going to beat my e...

Re: E3D V6

It's quite possible that all my problems came from treating the temperature range of the E3D like the range of the v3, not the v3b, and I was just printing a bit too cool for the PET+. But I will stick with my current program of printing your fan mount and duct first, before making another run with...

S3D Version 2.1.1 is out

I just happened to check the S3D downloads page and 2.1.1 is available. Only thing that sticks out is you can now set the filament value per kilogram in the process settings "other" tab.

Well, looks like the Changelog has been updated. Huh..

Re: E3D V6

The new one looks good Jim. It just needed the top notch and shorten up the bottom since the v6 is more compact all of which you have covered. The print quality is really good with the new one. It seems to take less pressure to extrude and even less coast and retract. My v5 may not be the best compa...

E3D V6

Just thought I put a post out here now that I finally had a chance to get the new E3D v6 hotend on the printer. So far this thing is much better than the E3D v5 hotend I have which didn't make me fully leave the MG V3B on the bench. This new one however isn't coming off the printer anytime soon. For...

Re: Quadcopters and other flying machines

I've printed the Spidex Micro with the addition of some custom landing feet. Just waiting for everything else to get here to finish it up.

Re: x axis belt rubbing.

I spaced my belt holder down and dropped the pulley on the motor. This makes the belt just miss. I checked the github site and there doesn't seem to be a printable belt holder there. At least not the same part that came with the printer. did you use washers? I used a piece of .025" lexan for the sp...

Re: Favorite way to prep your bed surface for printing ABS?

I'm pretty close to that. Purple glue stick on a cold bed, 110c for the first 4 layers and 90c after that. Rarely use the skirt attached to the part anymore.
