Re: M3 Lite

Since nobody else has responded, let me be the first to say that your mod looks great! Now all (!) you need to do is to add the touch probe. . .

Re: Why not update FW for M2 printers?

Mainly it's just a support headache for MakerGear. I am an open source software developer, so I know this routine very well: When you're dependent on someone else's software, they can change it at any time and break all your code. It's a fact of life in open source development. That doesn't mean it ...

Re: Stringy dual print

Your statement about temp, is it possible to have each extruder at a different temp or does it have to do more with the 2 products interacting on the build plate? Yes and yes. Each part of a dual print is a completely separate set of gcode, and can have a different temperature, speed, extrusion rat...

Re: Stringy dual print

(BTW---Your image appears as a broken link to me, and I assume to everyone) Stringiness and drippiness are not by-products of dual extrusion, but they sure do cause problems and mess up prints in ways that can't happen with a single-extrusion print. My main suggestion is to make sure that your two f...

Re: Introducing Ultra One

"Onboard Computer"? What's driving the Ultra-1? Sounds like it's got way more than a Rambo under the hood. And. . . do Kevlar-reinforced belts make a significant difference? That is, if I replaced my M2's belts with Kevlar-reinforced ones, would I expect to see any improvement?

Re: Looking for a .fff file for a M2 Rev. D

I'm not sure what you mean by "outdated" in reference to Insta's files. They should be good for any M2 Rev. D or E; basically any M2 with a v4 extruder on it. I don't remember when MakerGear started the official revision letters, but I'm pretty sure it was well into the v4 era. As far as the FFF fil...

Re: 2019 Trade Show Schedule

If they do the East Coast Rep-Rap festival again, I highly recommend it. It's about the same distance from you as the NY Maker Faire.

Re: M2: The indestructible

Thanks, Rick.

The lesson learned at the school was that if you put a 3D printer on a rolling cart, you had better tie it down with something. Sage advice.

Re: Dual color printed container that ships with M3-ID

I guess just for the record, it's worth ending this forum thread with the link to the github site for the M3 parts, now that it is has been made public (although that happened a month ago and I've been busy doing other things and didn't notice). The knurled box can be found here: https://github.com/...

Re: STL of Linear Rail??

Thanks, that's a useful model to have.

I was going to say that I have a short piece of plastic rail that came with the extra carriage I got, which you can have if you need it.
