2nd layer issues...

I've been printing fine for a few months now, but just started having some issues with 2nd layer adhesion. I'm using the same default settings from MakerGear for S3D 4 on an M3ID changing only the extruder and bed temps. I've tried this now with both PETG and PLA a number of times. I've readjusted t...

Re: M3ID OctoPrint

I was able to get octoprint to start by issuing:

octoprint serve

from the command line, but it won't start automatically at startup.

M3ID OctoPrint

I just updated my M3ID's OctoPrint to 1.3.6RC2 and MakerGearSetup because the update told me to and now octoprint doesn't load correctly. I don't get the normal "startup chime" for Octoprint either, but the "diagnostic message" gives the following: "The OctoPrint server is currently not running If ...

Re: M3 ID PVA + PLA builds

BernieX, I actually switched to the M3ID for soluble support as my Prusa Mk2/MMU did not work well. PVA works best at a lower temp, whereas PLA on the Prusa likes it a little hotter. Printing out of a single nozzle, there's not enough time between filament changes to sufficiently cover more than a 1...

Replacement M3ID Cooling Duct

I tried posting this in the M3ID forum already, but no luck. Hopefully someone from MG Tech Support will read this, but I need to get a replacement cooling duct for my M3ID that seems to have partially melted and no longer works adequately to cool parts. Anyone know where to get a replacement? Not l...

Replacement cooling fan duct for M3ID

I somehow destroyed part of mine, likely while I was replacing the hotend. Does anyone know if there is a replacement available? I don't mind printing one, but it doesn't seem like there are any yet for the M3ID or anywhere in the store that I could find.

Thermal Runaway on Heated Bed

I'm getting a Thermal Runaway on the Heated Bed when I try printing at 110C on the heatbed. It'll go up to 97C without issue, but after about an hour of printing at 110C, the whole thing shuts down. The OctoPrint interface shows disconnected, but pulling up the terminal, I get "Error: Thermal Runawa...

Re: Best camera to use with MG M3 ID

I use a Logitech 922 on a custom designed mount with my MG M3IDs and it works quite well... I do however have USB-powered LED light bulbs hung over them to create enough light for them to work well... Both the light and the cam are directly plugged into the USB interfaces on the M3ID's Raspberry PI.

Re: Can you connect to the MakerGear M3 printer with an iPad

I use Nautilus on iPad to control my 3D printers that have PI interfaces. It works well enough for me to bypass the whole web interface that tends to get too cluttered on my iPad Mini. The .local addresses work fine for me as iOS supports MDNS/Bonjour whereas Android and Windows (without Bonjour) do...

Re: MAKERGEAR M3-ID reviews

I'm not sure it qualifies as a review if you haven't actually got one in your hands and have tested it. That said, I do love my M3-ID and it sees a heck of a lot more action these days than my Prusa i3 Mk2s and Mk2/MMU which are now in my garage, with the M3ID taking the coveted space in my office. ...
