Re: Heats up and homes but no print from sd

I might have figured it out. My heated bed quit a long time ago, and I had been setting the g code temp at room temp and it's about 10 degrees colder here and don't have the heat on. Here. Thank you 3dPrintingMD. I'll let you know if that fixes it.

Re: Heats up and homes but no print from sd

Thank you so much for the help! As for that, I've never done that. When I push the "print from USB" button, it doesn't seem like it's connecting to the machine. Even though I can heat it up and home it with the control panel in simplify.

Heats up and homes but no print from sd

Good morning all! The last time I used it, it worked flawlessly, as it has since I bought it. I needed to re-print a part and used the g code I had previously used, it homes, and heats up and stabilizes, but doesn't do the count down and begin to print. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated a...

Re: filament guide melting. Fan is running

Thank you Steve. Yes, the filament drive (V3b). I will print one in ABS. Thanks a bunch. That makes sense. Wayne

Re: filament guide melting. Fan is running

Printed it in PLA. I also changed simplify versions and didn't turn on the bottom fan as soon as it starts printing. Changed that also with an old PTFE? Tube it is back to the reliable machine I know and love. Thanks much. ABS is lower temp correct?

Re: filament guide melting. Fan is running

Sorry to waste your time. The tube was cracked due to my haste in forcing it into the guide. Thanks again!

filament guide melting. Fan is running

Good morning group! The filament guide gets hot enough to melt and allow the V3b hot end that I run PLA at 210deg to melt and allow the nozzle to go out of alignment. I have cobbled it together enough to print another guide which just ruined a print at the beginning stages thankfully. Did I read som...

Re: hoping to join the makergear community soon!

Totally elated with the M2! I am a product developer and use the M2 for making prototypes. The mind is my only limit! This incredible machine does 36 hour prints and never EVER complains! I can't remember the last time I leveled the bed, and set Z height. Seriously it has to have been at least 90-11...

Re: Favorite way to prep your bed surface for printing PLA?

I HIGHLY recommend blue painters tape and I always shut the bed heat off after the start of the print. I wish that I could give credit to where it is due but the best "first layer" tip i ever got was, with a level bed, (which I only check once in a great while) Begin the print, let it do the nozzle ...
