Changing block heater from 0 to 1 on RAMBO

I'm having a problem- every time I activate my extruder heater, my USB disconnects- weird I know. I've connected a heater directly to the screw terminal plug on HEAT0 and still get the same problem, so I believe its in the board and not the wiring. To troubleshoot I'm going to move the heater to the...

Specs on older m2 Stepper motor?

After many hours of printing, my Y stepper has finally died-
I have the older m2 with the 12/19v that came with the v3B hotend.

Can anyone tell me the specs on the stepper so I can order a new one?

Thanks

SD Print Selector with search function?

I'm using pronterface currently to select prints on multiple M2's. I'm getting to the point that I have hundreds of gcode files (in non-alphabetized order) to search through when I want a print. Has anyone found a program that will let me "search" when printing from SD? I'm going blind(er) looking t...

Anyone had success with the Craftware Slicer?

I have the free 1.14 beta playing around with it, but I'm having trouble digesting how it handles retractions. It has settings under "travel" that are retractions, but I'm not sure about the "prime" length. I tried the settings shown (the prime is set to 1.6 mm, hard to see in their colors), and I g...

Re: Ditto printing!

It had been a while since I have been on the forum, but I just wanted to say WOW! Great job on the mods Tim. Very impressive.
That would be a great time saver when printing my wifes crafting 'doodads" they are about 2" diameter would would work perfectly with ditto printing.

Re: Converting a V3b into bowden?

I started a design for a dual-bowden some time ago, but didn't go through with it. The mounts may still work with some tinkering if you wanted to use an unmodified v3b with a screw-in tubing connector in the dovetail mount.

Re: strength vs weight in 3d printing

If you could come up with some accurate material simulations (whatever material you wanted to print with), many software packages will let you simulate loads on your designs. The scary thing with printing would be having to assume every layer had perfect adhesion, and that there were no manufacturin...

Re: Changing list order of prints on SD card

Thanks Ed! Thats exactly what I didn't want to hear :D I have been keeping a master file on my computer and re-writing each card when I can't take the constant searching for files, just to get them back into some sort of order. I do have partial organization by files, but even those seem random in t...

Changing list order of prints on SD card

Anyone know where to change this in firmware? My problem is I have a couple hundred files that I'm printing (from SD) pretty often. My machines have different firmware and some of them list files alphabetically, while others have a strange combination of alphabetically with the newer files on the bo...
