Same problem here. Maybe printing a vertical guide pipe that rises vertically out of the extruder housing and clears the wiring harness out of the way might be a solution.
My filament eventually "sawed" a keyhole shape into the top of the housing.

Thank you.jsc wrote:My Z screw came slathered with the white grease, so that's what I've been using.
I set up an alert for every 30 days, and I relube if I notice any untoward noises.
Do you have a source for the white grease? Is it readily available at Lowe's or Home Depot??

Lubrication - Request for more info
My pre-assembled M2 came with a short blurb about using 3-in-1 on the linear shafting and lithium grease on the linear rails. Looking at the parts pdf, I see what the linear rails are (x and y). And I assume the linear shafting are the two rods on either side of the z-axis jack screw - so 3-in-1 oil...

Re: Quadcopters and other flying machines
These were all prototyped and developed using my M2. I love it! T4 Quadcopter T4 Quadcopter Mini 250 T6 Hexacopter I REALLY like the T4 design. I've started printing with the latest version of Simplify3D using the PLA and medium quality settings. As the parts print out, I can "see" the time and eff...

Canceling/Pausing/Emerg Stop a Disk Print?
Most of my first prints were from Simplify3D using USB. If I ran into troubles, I could use Emergency Stop to abort the current print job. Now, I'm finding it convenient to print from disk, get the job started and unplug my laptop and let it run. Today I saw the print wasn't up to snuff so I plugged...

Re: Really Getting Started - Purchase Decision
I am like a broken record on this point, but let me repeat myself: Sketchup is a great tool for architectural work and things intended to be displayed on a computer, but it is a "mesh modeler", which makes it less than ideal for 3D printing. What you want is something intended for CAD, a "solid mod...

Re: Really Getting Started - Purchase Decision
One month in... I purchased the assembled M2. I am happy I did. While I think I could have assembled the kit, I was happy to get to print shortly after my printer arrived. From purchase to arrival at the house was about 7 days. Everything (including 3 extra rolls of filament I purchased) came by US ...
