Re: Anyone have an Ultra One yet?

Well, the printer should be back at HQ now. Anxious to hear back and will of course keep the thread informed. Fingers crossed we have another U1 in the shop printing off 1kg beds every day here soon!

Re: Anyone have an Ultra One yet?

Well, mine is heading back. After several weeks with 0 updates I think this is unfortunately the only option. I will give a model with another Serial # a try, but I'm not interested in any more hours spent on this machine.

Re: Anyone have an Ultra One yet?

If my print quality/speeds were identical I'd be satisfied, "fine with it". I basically planned on a larger, enclosed M2/M3 that would be capable of large prints and be able to crank out many of my smaller parts on multi-day duplicate prints. However I was hopeful this printer would exhibit greater ...

Re: Anyone have an Ultra One yet?

The extruders are identical to the M2/M3 which saddens me a bit. They are fine, but only fine I'd say. A Bondtech setup would be nice, I very, very rarely have a jam on machines with that extruder. My recent hardship with the M2/M3 extruders is wearing away the teeth on the extruder motor gear. Been...

Re: Anyone have an Ultra One yet?

No progress at all in the past week+, besides getting confirmation I'm not crazy and the U1 prints approximately 35% slower with identical settings. Unfortunately it hasn't made me any production parts since receiving the machine due to the print problems. I fear the ringing is an issue with my mach...

Re: Printing with Ninjaflex?

Mk3 and Mk3S both have the bondtech extruder and do well with flexibles. Like orders of magnitude faster than the Makergears with flexibles. And with all other materials they can print fast as well. I hesitantly bought one, now I have 5. They can print 100mm/s with great quality, really impressed wi...

Re: Printing with Ninjaflex?

I do not have very good luck printing flexibles on the Makegear. The extruder setup lets the filament get away, and even with modified extruders I haven't had any sort of reliable luck. As airscapes mentioned, minimal retraction, and minimal speed changes are necessary. Our Prusas do good with flexi...

Re: Anyone have an Ultra One yet?

I am astonished as well. I've spent many hours of my time with support on the phone, many hours emailing logs, g-codes, profiles, factory files, on top of literally hundreds of hours of test print time. We did not get a kit, and I'm very familiar with a variety of FDM machines. Lately I've been prin...

Re: Anyone have an Ultra One yet?

We have tried various acceleration/jerk settings with 0 difference in print quality or print time. Perhaps the firmware overrides it? But I want to note this is PLA, their stock sample print, going very slow. I can print a part on a Prusa in half the time and look much better. I've had no luck with ...
