Re: Printing with Ninjaflex?

Mk3 and Mk3S both have the bondtech extruder and do well with flexibles. Like orders of magnitude faster than the Makergears with flexibles. And with all other materials they can print fast as well. I hesitantly bought one, now I have 5. They can print 100mm/s with great quality, really impressed wi...

Re: Printing with Ninjaflex?

I do not have very good luck printing flexibles on the Makegear. The extruder setup lets the filament get away, and even with modified extruders I haven't had any sort of reliable luck. As airscapes mentioned, minimal retraction, and minimal speed changes are necessary. Our Prusas do good with flexi...

Re: Nylon

I have my first batch of production beds ready. They are within .005" flatness edge to edge on both sides. Plan on sending some directly to MG as I hope they stock them, they're simply the best for nylon. PM me if you want one, I expect the first batch of 50 to be gone quickly.

Re: Simplify 4.0+ issues with M3-ID

Wouldn't it be nice if Simplify would put out an update? They haven't been helpful at all despite multiple videos, gcodes, factory files, etc.

Another issue is I can't print high infills. No matter what I select it prints at 25%ish infill, much lighter than my typical 50% infill I use with my M2s.

Simplify 4.0+ issues with M3-ID

Anyone else having all kinds of Simplify errors with their m3-ID? Random travel moves to the corner of the bed, odd defects in prints, poor quality etc. This is using modified versions of the stock PLA or ABS settings.

Re: Nylon

I will be selling milled garolite beds for Makergears. $50/ea, milled on both sides so you can flip them over. It has really transformed my production capabilities and I print almost exclusively nylon now. PETG doesn't even come close in durability.

Bondtech BMG on M2

Hi guys, anyone done this extruder swap? I just got a BMG in, it will require an adapter plate to bolt to the stock M2 motor.

Stripping filament has been my bigness problem with the M2, it's better with e3D hotends but still the vast majority of print failures.

Z Height/Homing with E3D V6 Hotend

I have an M2 with a V6 hotend, was getting some weird Y-axis shifting partially through prints (big z-axis indentation on parts that would slowly come back to where it should be) and Makergear Tech Support suggested putting the newest firmware on the printer after nothing else solved the problem. Wh...

Repeated stripping of filament :(

Hi everyone, New to the forum, not to Makergears. We run 6 of these machines modified with E3D hotends which are historically pretty reliable, but lately I have been having fits with filament stripping. Same file being printed on multiple printers, and lately they one will start stripping at approxi...
