Re: First post. My modded m2 ServoFi'd
It's a project that goes in spits and spurts as we have time, life often gets in the way. We have learned a lot about high end servo stuff, it is a LOT of work and involves a ton of gnarly math. It turns out that there is a valid reason for high performance servo stuff to be expensive, It's hard. We...

LOL, funny how things spread. The test that I did I found positive. I am working on some stuff at the moment.
Hopefully in ~6 months or so there will be some news...

Re: S3D Problems, Program, support, forum.
192.168.*.* is internal. But https://who.is/whois-ip/ip-address/192.241.178.140 is the cloud service digitalocean. I got a response to my direct question " What is the software collecting on my machine": Hi Chad, The software periodically checks to see if updates are available. If you would like to ...

Re: S3D Problems, Program, support, forum.
So did a little packet sniffing of S3D creator: On launch of the program it talks a LOT to 162.249.4.246 - A2-Hosting It also talks to 104.67.70.15 Something on Akami, not sure why. When you 'prepare to print' it opens a ssl port 443 connection to 192.241.178.140 at http://www.digitalocean.com a clo...

Re: S3D Problems, Program, support, forum.
You are right, I may need to loosen my tin foil hat. But that doesn't explain why I have to login into a program that says I don't have to log in to use. The only conclusion that I can come up with is they are forcing it to collect data. I needed to get work done today. When I tried to run the progr...

Re: S3D Problems, Program, support, forum.
Ok, Again, Yes I can see the single registered computer in my s3d account. I could be wrong about the spyware but I doubt it. 1) There are a number of ways to handle a profile update without the huge expense of setting up a cloud system for the software. This is a very, very expensive thing to do for...

Re: S3D Problems, Program, support, forum.
I haven't tried to reinstall, I assume it would be the same problem.. I do see the one authed computer. I downloaded slicer and printed my part that way. The bigger issue is the way the company handles things. I can tell you that I will not be recommending the software to any one, any more. When I p...

The computer that I use on my printer isn't connected to the internet, it is just a little pc that I built just to run the printer. I have connected it so s3d can register and it has worked then just stopp...
