Re: Dual color printed container that ships with M3-ID

Unlike the M2 parts I don't think they are sharing anything to do with the M3... we've tried asking several times for the STL of the new fan design but our requests seem to just be ignored here... you might have better luck contacting them directly. :?

Re: V4 Hot End tech details?

And, sthone, I actually added my fans back in. I *think* it made the printer more reliable, but it's certainly not incredibly noticable one way or another. I still don't understand the point of the extruder fan or what it's suppose to be for. I get back in the day they kept the heat from traveling ...

Re: V4 Hot End tech details?

I've run my M2 for years with out the fan ... you probably won't need one either.

ENCLOSURE TEMPS?

IMG_3766.JPG I just recently made this quick/cheap/simple enclosure out of Reflectix Double Reflective Insulation and foil tape because I just need it occasionally and can drop it right over the top of everything. My question is what kind of temps should an enclosure run at? I'm running ABS and jus...

Re: Filament Drive Tension Slipping?

Just so you know.... you're chasing ghosts worrying about drag on the spool... the extruder can and will actually pick that whole spool right off the spool holder and fling it around/pull it right up to the top of the press. (I speak from experience.) Whatever design you go with for the filament dri...

Re: MIC 6 plate and PEI

If you bed height is correct and it's not sticking to PEI you can try scuffing the PEI surface slightly with steel wool to help with adhesion.

Re: Aging of PETG Filament?

I don't think you have to worry about PETG like you do with PLA. I have some that's probably older than that and it prints fine still.... just run it.

Re: Filament Drive Tension Slipping?

The inside of the extruder is full of melted filament, but the nozzle looks like it's clear. Yeah you can get a clog in the just the barrel too. Try removing the nozzle and just run the cleaning filament through the barrel... it will come out in a big glob but it should clean everything out. I've e...

Re: nema17 dampers

I added washers under the mount to tilt the motor shaft out, so then when tension is applied the shaft returns to perpendicular to the machine. This is a good idea... I ended up removing the dampers off all of my printers because with the slight angle of the motor that they create it actually wears...
